EDUCATIONAL CRITERIA FOR Army ORs:

2 Soldier Technical (Technical Arms, Artillery, Army Air Defence) (a) Sol Tech 10+2/Intermediate Exam pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English with min 50% marks in aggregate and min 40% marks in each subject.(b) Sol Tech (Aviation & Ammunition Examiner) 10+2/Intermediate Exam pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English with min 50% marks in aggregate and min 40% marks in each subject. 17 ½ – 23 Years
3 Soldier Clerk / Store Keeper Technical (All Arms) 10+2/Intermediate Examination Pass in any stream (Arts, Commerce and Science) with minimum 60% marks in aggregate and minimum 50% in each subject. Securing 50% in English and Maths/Accounts/Book keeping in Class 12th is mandatory. 17 ½ – 23 Years
4 Soldier Nursing Assistant (Army Medical Corps) 10+2/Intermediate Exam pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with min 50% marks in aggregate and min 40% in each subject. 17 ½ – 23 Years
5 Soldier Nursing Assistant Veterinary (Remount Veterinary Corps) 10+2 / Intermediate exam pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with Min 50% marks in aggregate and minimum 40% in each subject. 17 ½ – 23 Years
7 Soldier Tradesmen
(All Arms except Syce. Mess Keeper and House Keeper)
10th Simple Pass.No stipulation in aggregate percentage but should have scored min 33% in each subject. 17 ½ – 23 Years

PHYSICAL CRITERIA FOR Army ORs:

MEDICAL CRITERIA FOR Army ORs:

  • ·A candidate should have robust physique and good mental health.
  • ·Chest should be well developed having a minimum 5 Cms expansion.
  • ·A Candidate should have normal hearing with each ear and good binocular vision in both eyes. He should be able to read 6/6 in a distant vision chart with each eye. Color vision should be CP – III (able to recognize white, red and green signal colors correctly as shown by Martin’s Lantern at 1.5 meters).
  • ·A candidate should have a sufficient number of natural healthy gum and teeth i.e. minimum 14 dental points.
  • ·A candidate should not have diseases like deformity of bones, hydrocele and varicocele or piles.
  • ·A candidate applying for Soldier General Duty for infantry should have 6/6 eyesight.

Documents Required at the Rally Site

  1. Educational Certificate / Marksheet issued by the Recognized Education Board.
  2. Residence Certificate with photograph issued by the authorized signatory of the State Government / Tehsildar / SDM.
  3. Caste Certificate with photograph to be signed by Village Sarpanch except in the case of SIKH (Mazbi and Ramdasia), Gujjar and Gorkha candidates wherein it is reqd to be signed by the authorized signatory of the State Government / Tehsildar / SDM. Candidates belonging to Dogra Community to produce a certificate with photograph issued by Tehsildar / Authorised Government Signatory.
  4. Religion Certificate issued by the authorized signatory of the State Government / Tehsildar / SDM.
  5. School Character Certificate issued by the Schools / Colleges Principal / Headmaster.
  6. Character Certificate with photograph issued by the Village Sarpanch / Municipal Corporation / Police issued within the last six months.
  7. Unmarried Certificate with photograph issued by Village Sarpanch / District Administration issued within the last six months (If a candidate is below 21 years of age).
  8. Relationship Certificate issued by concerned Records Office (Applicable for only the Son of Serving Soldiers / Widows / War Widows and Ex-servicemen).
  9. NCC A / B / C Certificates. In the case of NCC Certificate holders relevant certificates and certificates for participation in the Republic Day Parade to be produced for dispensation. 
  10. Sports Certificate to be produced if represented in the following
  • Represented India at the International level.
  • Represented State at National Level.
  • Represented District at National Level.
  • Represented University Team or Regional Team at District Level.
  1. Candidates having O+ Level Computer Certificate ‘Business Professional Programmer’ issued by the DOEACC Society.
  2. Latest passport size photographs. Both the ears of the candidates must be visible and SIKH (Mazbi and Ramdasia) candidates must have photographed in a turban and without a turban.
  3. Kandi area certificate for applicable candidates to be issued by Tehsildar / Authorised Government Signatory.

SELECTION PROCEDURE:

Physical Fitness Test (PFT)

To determine the Physical Fitness Test (PFT), the following tests carrying 100 marks are held:

1. 1.6 Km Run.

2. Pull-Ups.

3. Balance.

4. 9 Feet Ditch Jump.

Performance of individual for Soldier General Duty, Soldier Technical / Clerk / Store Keeper Technical / Nursing Assistant and Soldier Tradesman will be taken into account while awarding bonus marks as given below:

  1. 1.     Soldier General Duty – Physical Fitness Test (PFT) + Common Entrance Examination (CEE) marks
  2. Soldier Technical / Clerk / Store Keeper Technical / Nursing Assistant -Common Entrance Examination (CEE) marks. However, the individual should have qualified in the Physical Fitness Test (PFT).
  3. Tradesmen with Aptitude Test – 30% Physical Fitness Test (PFT) marks + 30% Common Entrance Examination (CEE) marks + 40% Tradesman Aptitude Test marks.
  4. Tradesmen without Aptitude Test – 60% Physical Fitness Test (PFT) marks + 40% Common Entrance Examination (CEE) marks.
  5. Tradesmen Musician – 50% Physical Fitness Test (PFT) marks + 25% Aptitude Test marks + 25% Common Entrance Examination (CEE) marks.
